Required Qualifications 
Education:

  • Essential: University Degree In Public Or Business Administration, Logistic Management Or Engineering From An Accredited/recognized Institute.
  • Desirable: Professional Certification/qualification In Areas Such As Transport, Distribution And Supply Chain Management. Degree Or Training In Information Management Systems And Their Application To Logistic, Transport Or Supply Management And Monitoring.

Experience:

  • Essential: At Least 7 Years Related Experience, At The National And International Levels, In Managing Emergency Logistics Operations And Supply Operations In International Organizations/institutions, Part Of Which In The Field Supporting Emergency Humanitarian Operations.
  • Desirable: Prior Working Experience With WHO, UN Agencies, Health Clusters Partners, Recognized Humanitarian Organizations Or With An International Non-Governmental Organization.Experience Or Knowledge Of Import/export And Customs Administration.

Skills:

  • Additional Mandatory Competency: Creating A Motivating And Empowering Environment.Excellent Analytical Skills With The Ability To Coordinate Activities And Multitask.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills With Ability To Negotiate With And Convince Officials With Tact And Diplomacy.

Remuneration

  • WHO Salaries For Staff In The Professional Category Are Calculated In US Dollars. The Remuneration For The Above Position Comprises An Annual Base Salary Starting At USD 69,032 (subject To Mandatory Deductions For Pension Contributions And Health Insurance, As Applicable), A Variable Post Adjustment, Which Reflects The Cost Of Living In A Particular Duty Station, And Currently Amounts To USD 1611 Per Month For The Duty Station Indicated Above. Other Benefits Include 30 Days Of Annual Leave, Allowances For Dependent Family Members, Home Leave, And An Education Grant For Dependent Children.
  • Please Note That The Compensation Package For Professional And Higher Category Staff In The UN Common System Is Currently Undergoing Changes In Accordance With UN General Assembly Resolution 70/244 Of 23 December 2015.
  • The Remuneration Amounts Indicated Above Are, Therefore, Subject To Change. The Changes Will Be Implemented, Retroactively To 1 January 2017, Through The WHO Payroll.
